Anyone concerned about this? Should we change up our trading approach somehow?

Instead of just leaving game maybe just try to complete the raid so its not a 30 second game. My brother had mentioned this, but imo they need to crack down on hackers b4 RLT. Would make trades a lil longer

Like bring a pistol and try to kill a scav or 2 then let one kill you

Yeah I think that might be best. I’m also concerned they’ll notice a pattern with the military checkpoint keys.

Maybe keep people on a friends list longer and do some raids with them? How will they draw the line at RMT vs giving your friend some funds?

Going forward

As a seller I suggest keeping it to 1-2 trades a day. They’re not after the small traders, but rather the big guys who make 1000’s on the RMT websites because they’re also the ones hacking.

As a buyer I’d either keep to the same sellers and not buy shitons from multiple people same day or even same week. Maybe add multiple traders to your friends list in advance.

Obviously using different usernames than any of the forums you buy on would be strongly advised as well.

I have other measures I use but I’m leery of posting them publicly.

Yeah I’m a fan of reusing sellers and keeping them on tarkov friends list. Good call

Idk how fg compares to RLM in the sense of trading as jsp prohibits and dissociates it from a tangible/ real life currency. Only to be used as to sell items for fg then buy items with that fg. As this allowed them to get around the D2 item trading, as it broke D2 TOS as well.
So in a sense, item for item.
But there's also item trading as well. Something Pestily himself has hosted on his discord for giving other people items and trading item for item. Which he stated will be back.
Also how would it be differentiated from friends giving each other items to help out? Because you grab your buddies gear when he dies. Or you see this on stream all the time. The difference is they actually play together multiple times and it goes both ways.

There's been nothing said about the above two things. But out of 2k bans a day, I feel that this excuse will be used by just about everyone and overlooked by eft. So don't rely on it.

But with that said, If people are trading fg for items they are also possibly buying for rlm elsewhere.
Which would connect them to the hackers/sellers and then if they came and traded here with you, that might connect you and the traders here to the original hackers/sellers as well.
They would probably pull a party log and look at their actions to differentiate regular friends from hackers/buyers/sellers.

Like cappichino said with his recommendations to look legit. There might be some other things to do like

Actually trade items, instead of just being a one way trade that looks suspicious. Gen4 for sicc for ex.
Actually come in fully geared and play the game. Play how you would normally, just with a teamate.
Stop posting that you are buying selling currency or items, instead, post you are trading for them. Then deal with pms.
Do not associate with rlm sites and traders as it will probably get you flagged and everyone you play/trade with flagged.
Do screening of players before hand. Review their posts/threads. Ask if they've done any other trades and if they were on/off this site.
Look at their credibility. Activity. Join date. Because it is possible they send a spy to start flagging people here.
The game is 5 years old. And from what I can see most of the people in this forum are 2011 or older. So try only dealing with 2015 or older accounts.
Only trade with trusted people. This is hard as this forum is barely active. But if someone is active on the eft forum they're most likely more active on other forum threads.
Only trade with repetitive customers that you've traded with in the past.

It really comes down to that we don't know what their approach is going to be handling this and players.
All it could take is for one major trader on this forum to get flagged and not even know it, then he ends up flagging 100 others or every other eft player on this forum.
Or for someone to send info to bsg of someone trading for them to look into it. So a trade gone bad where you lost the items or whatever happened, not only affects your jsp acct but also could affect your eft acct if a rat took it that far.

So just be careful and over cautious. They're definitely going to get more strict on this and start monitoring activities of possible trades.
