I'll play devil's advocate a little here and I personally think Factory is the best map to start playing on if you want to be "good". It gets you more aware of how to peak angles and gives you better knowledge of how sound works in this game. If you're a PvP style player, run factory until you're annoyed and then run it some more. If you're more PvE run Shoreline or woods and avoid health resort and lumber respectively.
