Let's just say Blizzard did a ban wave every month in both games, the botter is losing more than 3x his initial investment compared to D2.

Now if you're saying Blizzard won't ban any bots that's a fair point to make seeing how they've done nothing with D2R.

To that I say: D4 is the new shiny massively popular game that will get all the attention and make a lot of money through the battle pass and in-game cosmetic store.
They have a huge financial interest in keeping the players happy and the players are not shy about screaming their lungs out if any obvious botting is found.
And of course let's not forget the trading restrictions that hurts the bots profit margins immensely.

At the end of the day if the bots are not making enough profit then they will close shop and relocate elsewhere, that's all there is to it.

There will be plenty of bots, but that shouldnt reduce your fun. Just ignore it, worked in D2 as well were it was a much bigger issue cause of open trading.
