JSP is dead for console but the game itself has been alive as recently as Ultimatum or so; as far as current league issues I think everyone just despises Archnemesis since it fucking sucks (and gets changed every patch) and was probably never a good idea to begin with. There's a few mechanics that still work or aren't broken due to "smart" balancing like Delve and Breach though.
