So I was playing new vegas and I beat lonesome road and Old World Blues so far.
I've been following the story and Lonesome Road/Courier 6 has me confused a LOT.
He claims I created the divide when I came before?
But the game never talks about any of your back story right... So what is he talking about?

He says that a package was brought that contained some "electronics" that talked to the monsters underground and created the divide.

Is this having to do with fallout 3 or something?
Should I just start playing fallout 3?

I've beaten all of NV main story / OWB / LR going to do honest hearts (thats about burned man right?) and the Dead Money is about the Casino Heist

Anyways here is my character.

I'm playing 100% legit. haven't used any console commands or noclip.

I would guess it was the stealth boys probably going to the nightkin because there was a quest where you were trying to find a shipment for them or something idk I havent played it in a long time

Undisclosed period of time prior to the events of new vegas, the courier was sent into the divide with a package by the NCR with tech they "salvaged" elsewhere. The package was a detonator for the unused missiles in the divide that were still locked in their silos. The detonator activated the missiles, but didn't unlock the silos. The nukes detonated underground causing massive earthquakes and storms. That's what he was referring to.
