At the moment I am 1/2 way through fallout 4 replaying with cool different mods, but it got me thinking about revisiting 76. Upon the initial release there was far too many bugs and drama, not to mention no offline mode that I never even bothered. Now several years later I hear it might be good and things have been patched up to a reasonable standard.

So my question is it worth playing? Is it free now or is there a subscription or cd key type of requirement? Always hated being forced to play single player games online.

If you already own the base game then you can continue to play like before. You do not need a subscription to play. But it is still an online multiplayer game.
