First of all there is no trade system so all gear is self made or bought in the central market where the price is capped for every item (changed by demand of all sales on server)

Best way to get help in the game is a guild so better get into an active guild that accepts new and returning players
Third is the mentee mentor event
It is a gear progress event that motivates you to get geared and gain rewards (ongoing until november)
I can give you my mentor code but my best advice would be to find a mentor on NA that will actually boost you so you can both gain from it
