legit means a specific item holds a unique item id without any duplicates, meaning it's one of a kind without any questionable unperm ids of the same name and stats
perm means that item's id is unique but other duplicated id's of the same item exist. Meaning it's still one of a kind, but with unperm ids of the same item existing
legit doesnt mean an item's acceptability to be used or not be used within your private group events
