It’s exactly the same drops as ladder, minus the ladder-only items. That’s why I don’t get your use of “effectiveness.” You’re just as “effective” in ladder as in non-ladder-there’s no difference at all. A 400 MF Paladin will drop like a 400mf din in ladder as in non-ladder.
So what’s your question, really? Could you elaborate on your reasoning, or maybe use a more fitting word than “effective” to clarify what you mean?
