Why do ppl do this I don’t get it? Why sell sojs if u can’t sell all required?

Reasons to sell just 1 soj:
1) you prepped the IP before ladder reset, and you sell 1 soj to check the count, to make sure it's still at the right count.
2) Someone else prepped an IP, and you sell 1 soj to check count, to make sure its still prepped, either so you can steal it or just catch a free anni
3) you sell 1 soj in effort to cause public interest and have public walk
4) random yolo/stupidity

I'm guessing #3 or #4 is the case here

I mean aren’t they all public? All ppl can get anni if they stumble on right up? And it doesn’t affect the ppl that sold the soj?

What do I mean when I say "public walk" in this context?

A "private walk" would be 1 person with 120 sojs, selling all at once. That's the professional way to do it, but requires fg/money to do it. It's quick, efficient, and profitable. Its all over in a few minutes, leaving very little time for John Q Public to catch a game.

A "public walk" is when 1 person punts 1 soj, (or 5 sojs in the case of IP 148 today). Someone posts on jsp dclone forum about it. Everyone tries to get a game. No one wants to donate any sojs, but they trickle in anyway. Eventually, after 1 to 3 days, it finally walks because many many people sold a handful of sojs each. It's a public effort to walk it.

Public walks stall all the time. Every time, one of 2 things happen:

1) everyone puts in a few sojs and it walks.

Or

2) Some people put in sojs, then people lose interest and drop games, then the big guys swoop in and take advantage of a newly warm IP.

Yes, this is true. However, if its a professional person/team, then they will lock in nearly every game on that IP. They leave very little room for any random person to catch a game. If they're very determined, they'll crash an IP to kick you off and THEN fill it

At face value, no, you grabbing a game does not effect the people selling sojs. However, if you ask the people running the market (myself included) then yes, your random free anni DOES effect people selling soj. Here's why... Let's say I do a walk. I sell 100 sojs and get a bunch of unid anni. I plan to sell those unid anni for 350fg per. You and a handful of other random people get a free anni off my IP. You all sell your anni for 250 each. Now you've lowered market value. You've set a precedent on anni price. Now if I try to sell at the planned 350fg price point, my customers will say "but these 3 guys sold for less!" Your random free anni hits me directly in the wallet. This is the thinking of most clone walkers. I personally dont give a shit if a few people get a free anni and hit my wallet because I still make insane profit

You're very welcome. :) I enjoy answering questions and rambling about clone/anni. It's almost an obsession, lol

It's Saturday, everyone! Clone walks are highly probable in the next 24 hours, so please remember me. And if you get a clone and I'm not online, remember that Umbellata@jsp can help you in the same way. I'm not sure what he charges though. I believe he charges 1fg as well, but you'll need to confirm with him.

Good luck hunting!
