It would seem that way yes... I've stopped playing D2. I don't have any more games I play and I've recently hurt myself and got taken off work. I remembered the substantial amount of FG I had and I figured I could try and sell it to pay a bill. Obviously I was/am aware of the rule. But my options where/are to let it sit and rot or try and pay a bill with it. Worse case this exact scenario happens and it just gets locked and continue to sit there anyways.
