played some due with my friend last night

Pretty exiting and fun game to play yup but horrible pixalated graphics in distances and game dont feel smooth when shooting / running has really put me off...i do have a beast of a PC i7, 16gb ram etc...my internet is not the best just a standard broadband but i do play games such as cs:go and OW without problems with 50ish ping, maybe thats where problem is im not sure since there no such a option to show ping/fps
Also my friend says im just not used to this slow motion game yet coming from fast smooth shooters like CS and OW...not sure we will see i do plan on keep playing pubg
Oh and we have been playing FPP servers btw which still in BETA it seems

Is there some sort of hidden MMR? does it effect all game modes? like is there separate MMR for solo, due, squad ?

There is MMR, yes.

PUBG is a much more tactical game. Outmaneuver your opponents.
CS:GO is a lot of just going A or B and watching corners and OW is big ability spamming fights.

well there way more to it than that.... but i know what you saying, cs:go is very aim focused

I did play a lot of arma 3 at one point, so PUBG is nothing new to me but im just saying that it dont feel smooth, im not sure if its due lag/fps or just me not being used to it

It doesn't have a powerhouse dev team/resource pool behind it. Usually games like PUBG start out this way but get much better quickly.

See: ARK and LoL. I thought LoL was a piece of crap graphics wise when I started playing it. I picked it up in beta and all of my friends said the graphics sucked and they didn't want to play because of that. Now look at it xD

you can show ping on all of these games though...
i7, 16gb says nothing about your pc in general... the important thing is the graphics card ^^ also i7 can be anything. 16gb ram is pretty much standard right now, but yes, PUBG is in no way optimized so that's pretty much needed.
the graphics overall are not bad, the postprocessing after a certain distance is rather bad though. they announced that they would fix it though so just bare with it for now.

1st or 3rd person should not matter on anything you mentioned afaik.

I played OW and CS:GO as well and you cannot really compare that to PUBG... the scale of the map is on a whole different level as well as the number of simultaneous players ^^

sorry I just noticed that showing ping is not implemented yet ^^ there's a website showing your latency associated with the different servers though (https://pubg.disquse.ru/)
you can show fps using nvidias overlay if you own an nvidia graphics card

you can setup steam to show ur fps ingame.. just go to view - setting - ingame

and yeah the game is not fully optimized yet, it will run better over time

and yea cpu and ram does not matter much, u need a good graphic card with 4gb or more

also yes the FPP mode is fairy new and the game was designed for 3rd person i believe, so FPP mode doesent look as good as other 1st person shooters imo
