Why does it matter how much time it takes? You are trying to sell an item, as long as there is someone overbidding, I don't see a logical reason why you should reject more FG

You guys do understand that sometimes it takes time for people to be available to actually bid or overbid, right? Just like you had to be away for given amount of hours, the same is for everyone else. Putting a timer on things is plain stupid. And if you sell to a guy because the next one overbid few minutes late makes you a complete idiot, no offense!
It is being good-mannered. Also, a person who bids the winning amount also gets 8 hours to retract his/her offer. So, putting a D/L of 8 hours is a double edged sword.
If a person won't be online within 8+ hours, then they know the consequences and should either bid more on it and hope no one over bids again, or give up on that item
and hope someone else will post something similar.
The only idiot is one that does NOT apply to his own rules.

I understand you and when/if I sell items again, I won't do that d/l thing again.
But this time, I did it and I stick to my word. FdF's 900 Fg bid released a new 8 hour d/l and there was no bid within that time frame. His offer won.
If FdF still wants the items, I sell it to him.
I'm sorry for those who might don't like my decission.

Highfield
Don't be sorry for being good mannered.
Quoted posts reflect correct time, I used to do the same thing.
