HI! I am going to be hosting HCCL PvP tournaments every season from now on, and this is the first of its kind!
(That's Hardcore Classic Ladder on D2R. NON-EXPANSION)

(NOTE: We have a community donations box full of viable LvL 39 BvB gear to help people finish their builds.
Nagas, Battle Hammers, -30 Ornates, other Chest types, 30/20 Pavises and Grim Shields, Str/Life/AR/Rep Belts, Str/Dex/AR/Rep Gloves,
G-Toes, Duskdeeps, +1 bo Sticks, +1 bo Amulets, Angelics rings and amulets, ETC!)

I'm also personally offering to both rush and help players leech their hell skill/stat quests. Just ask!

Tournament Details!

This will be taking place over the course of 1 week, to account for having participants from all over the world.
(December 15th - December 22nd (Subject to minor changes)

Matchups will be spectated and officiated by myself,
and spectated and streamed by one of our community members, Jofe(OhPooh)
Other spectators are welcomed to come watch match-ups on a level 1 character,
or watch the streams via our HCCL Discord


When necessary, some matchups will be hosted by a third party, in order to provide both combatants with fairly equal Ping,

Current Prize Pool is up to 8,500 FG and 1 SOJ, thanks to our generous contributors!


This will be split three ways between
1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
(50%, 30%, 20%)

SoJ will go to the Champion, of course!

The main rules for building your Level 39 Tournament-BvB:

(These will be battles of Whirlwind barbs using 1-handed weapons and shields.
Although 2-handed weapons are not banned, it's ill advised against shield barbs at this tier.)

1) Level 39 or less. 40+ is disqualified.
2) Self-BO only.
3) No chant
4) The winner of each BvB matchup will be determined by the first to win 3 out of 5 rounds.
5) First to JUV or Exit the game mid-WW loses that round.
6) No Healing Potions allowed! Only Mana Potions and Juvs!

(You can't die OR juv while mid-WW, hence the exiting mid-ww)


(BANNED ITEMS:)

6) No Swordback Hold shields!
7) No Cleglaw's Gloves!
8) No Woestave Halberd!
9) No General's Tan Do Li Ga Flail!
10) No Boneflesh Armor
11) No RATTLECAGE!
12) No BONESNAP!
13) No Humongous Axe!

i posted a bunch of images in the discord of ornates, nagas, battle hammer, and shields and belts and stuff that i am willing to donate to help people finish their builds :'D

Think we should consider a loss on exit / death. I reckon juving should be fine.

only insta-loss on death. exiting is fine. you simply lose a round. we want this to be fun. i even changed it to best 3 out of 5 rounds. instead of 2 out of 3.

edit: for those who don't know, you also can't juv while mid-ww, that's why exiting mid-ww is even a thing.

What i meant is that i don't think loosing a round on juving should be a thing. We can make the duels longer if we allow juving, but happy with the current ruleset also.

problem with that is it creates a juv obsessed playstyle where people spam juvies and then they need more juvies more juvies lol

it has to be regulated somehow

edit: for normal duels or sparring juvs are fine whatever but its a tournament gotta be rigid ;D

Reminders:

3) You still have 2 weeks to meet the deadline!



NEW UPDATE:

This will be starting on Monday, December 15th, with match-ups scheduled throughout the week, and then the big title fight will be on Monday, December 22nd!

This scheduling frame will work best for me with my work schedule and stuff, but it is subject to changes or adjustments since we have people from all over the world participating.
Especially because it's starting and ending on Mondays. But Mondays are usually a day off for me!
