This is copy paste from reddit, not sure if I am allowed to link to another trading site. It seems legit. So just a fair warning
No names will be shared with this warning as it is a warning not a witch hunt, and I do not currently have the proper proof to state who are selling these fake keys.
What happened:
Roughly a week ago I was notified of a key exploit by someone involved with it that allowed for fake keys to be used on crates and traded on the market.
What is a fake key:
A fake key is a key that can be used on crates and traded in the market but will be removed in a hotfix. Any items gotten from crates using these keys and also the keys themselves will disappear in that hotfix.
Why is this significant:
If you sell your crimson loopers for 50 keys, and those keys are fake, you will lose them in the hotfix. This could severely cripple the rocket league market.
How do I protect myself from this:
Do not trade until a hotfix is made to this exploit. Simple as that. Each trade from here until the hotfix is a risk.
Do Psyonix know of this issue and are they working to fix it?
Yes they do know of this issue. They have the full information on how it is done and how to replicate it, they are looking into apparently, however they were notified of this a week ago and nothing changed.
If you knew about this for a week, why did you not share this information:
To give Psyonix time to patch the exploit without causing panic selling from the people using the key exploit. Too late for that now as today is the day where fake keys have first been sold.
that would expkain why someone d pay 120 keys for my white zombas
