Not sure where to post this tbh.

If I buy gold / platinum / w.e., will that trigger mods and possibly ban me for getting sufficiencies from "odd sources"?

Not if gold / plat is coming INTO your account.

They only care about xtrading out. There seems to be an "unspoken rule" that if you xtrade over (70%?) of your income, they might ban you.
