do they explicitly mention the cross trading as a reason for the ban?

i got banned once when switching to a banned ip (got a dynamic one by my ISP). after refreshing the ip my account was fine again.

yes they do, this is the msg i get when i try to log into avabur.

That account is banned for another 4655 weeks 5 days 14 hours 11 minutes 43 seconds. Reason: Crosstrade only account please make an appeal on the forums. From your activity logs it clearly shows me your responsible for account "Mission420" on D2jsp.org in which I followed for a few weeks also
If you'd like to appeal this ban, do not create a new account. Instead, visit the forums, located here (don't worry - ban appeals are hidden from public view)

i had no previous problems before this but i was alot more active a few months ago, so i think that whoever banned me might not be taking this into consideration cause i have spent alot of plat on my fishing boost as well as being active in public chat and gamble.

seems like they are cracking down on bans for d2jsp'ers. I've heard of some other crosstrading bans as well with no luck on appeal.

Cross-game trading is allowed, to an extent, but is discouraged
We want you to play games on their own merits, even if the game you prefer isn't ours! As a result, if an admin determines that your account exists primarily for cross-trading, your account will be banned. Additionally, any cross-game trading discussion should be kept out of public channels. Furthermore, it should go without saying that we do not care and will not be held responsible if you are scammed during a cross-trade.

did you violate? "exists primarily for cross-trading"? If anything, violation such a vague rule should lead to warnings before bans, imho

ya it would be a decent thing to give a warning before perma banning someone, seems a little unfair.

This basically leaves admins free to judge and ban as they please since they do not offer any specifics nor issue any warnings to guide or inform players prior to issuing permanent bans.
Warnings have been suggested but seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

haha, thats a long ban :D

But I am sure you can email the administrators and ask them to let you back, they seem to be kind of okey fellows actually

Actually they're pretty big assholes. They don't give a flying fuck who they ban for any reason.

How many players are still even playing this? was at like 1000 then dropped to 750, i'm sure its well well below that now.

That's a pretty wild assumption, they don't ban for no reason at all, they ban for the reasons you guys so cleverly dug out of the rule book - cant be a primarily xtrading account. If he upgraded his account regularly he would be fine, but he just sold his gold to make profit elsewhere. if you trade often enough to be noticed on a specific d2jsp account it's pretty obvious to me that you're breaking that rule. As stated in the ban he was followed for weeks, meaning he had multiple weeks to invest in his account in any meaningful way and failed to do that. Y'all crying about breaking the rules and not getting away with it are just silly. I feel for those that get banned, GL with the ban appeal. Everyone else just here to bash ava's mods need to calm down and spend a little on your account before the next time you trade out your gold. Maybe take abk's tactics and gamble a little, eventually itll just look like another lost gamble in your log if its chuck full of large trades back and forth anyway.

yeah sure thing champ

i got banned for "botting" idk how long ago. I had 150ish stamina. I work 2nd shift my gf works first. She uses my pc while i'm at work, and i left it open and would ask her to click refresh for me.

I can't use mobile at work or i might of just done that but w/e that's not the point.

When i appealed about the botting i explained my situation, it took over a week and i got a one sentence response.

"No account sharing which you admitted to, your ban will not be lifted"

Seem like pretty okay fellows to me huh?
