demon crest is much better so long as you don't need an additional slot for 15 ias jewels

also, I saw your stone hew thread, for a barbarian 40/15 max is superior to all other jewels or sockets including Ohm runes, and because of your passive masteries Lo rune is much less effective for a barbarian then it is for a zealot, even in bvb.

They're actually completely equal in terms of average added damage on the zerk, but I prefer extra min over extra max... ;)

You're right about the Lo's, not as best in slot on the axe as for zeal. I originally used highlords too with craft rings but exactly as you said the passive crit on grief builds meant I didn't have as great an edge as I'd hoped..

switched to angelics... Much much better..

i've tried 2 x 30/60/9/9, and 2 x Um runes, Both work quite nicely.. 30/60/9/9's was an extra 350 life :O

So far.. 2 Um looks the best. Drains life like a pretty woman will drain your bank. 9x 45 wc gc for def/life boost, because I don't need any more AR lol, 10 x 30 def 20 life SC. 43k+ Defense. 29.5K AR. 6.6k Life 85% OW or 7k With 30/60/9/9 in the Axe

bvb? If so try a Duress of Enigma if you haven't yet. but grief is unbeatable. The way damage is calculated on weapons 40/15 max actually does add more average damage then a Ohm rune. Depending on your opponents defense and your attack rating an eth rune can be more useful then the loss of 120/25/15/55+ on a ring (taking away 12.5% defense has a direct relationship to your required AR to hit.)
