sounds like this claw was a rolled item.
i have seen many identical rolled items with same name, same stats ect, rolled helmets normally have different defense and that is the only visual difference
weapons however are 100% identical but all rolled items have varying item ID's
in this case one of the rolled claws has been duped so all the duped claws and the claw the dupes came from have the same item ID therefor they will poof
BUT the other original rolled claw will have a separate item ID and so will not poof and is 100% perm.
solved
BTW i suggest someone names the non poofy claw so people can tell the difference in the future
in these circumstances naming the item will actually help with resale purposes.. just my opinion
no...there is no separate id. its not like the game issues an ID:1 -100 (however many are duped) and poofs the higher id. They are identical, same ID, and both are unperm upon contact. If the items were rolled then they would not have clashed. Since they clashed, they are in fact unperm. Why cant people understand the difference between rolled items and dupes.
Rolled: multiple items with multiple ID's, wont poof upon clash.
Duped: Same ID and at least 1 will poof upon clash contact.
If one clashed...logic dictated it has been duped. no matter if it was originally rolled or not, it is an unperm dupe as no one can tell how many were duped.
