add more dmg than fathom??

For es blizz, yes

The 6 hard skill pts it saves on energy shield, adds more damage than 30% from fathom.

Tested on multiple setups

I made a open bnet wand for test

3 cold
20fcr
3 blizz
3 cold mast
3 iceblast
2os
X2 5-5 cold die

Still did a good chunk less than fathom

When you put the skill pts on with fathom, you have to use 6+ skill pts to get your es to over 75%.

With this wand, there is no points wasted on es or the prerequisites. Those 6 pts make up more damage than fathom.

Ice blast will do nothing. It's very different wand.



In other words, if you have this orb on, and swap directly to fathom, your damage goes down.

But this orb and 6 more skill pts in prereqs does more damage than fathom.
It's all about the amount of skill pts saved to be able to use es.

Plus no more prebuffing

but it only save 6 skill if you use enigma as well no? and its not even 6 if ur maxing telekinesis for an es, its 5

Hey dummies

Fathom = +3 cold mastery

Orb = +5 cold mastery (i.e. extra -10 res)

This also allows you to use a regular cta instead of a staff cta with es on it (if you hard pt es on a blizz.... gtfo) which means +2 on BO

So in reality it probably does about the same damage, and gives more life and style

Not arguing that lol I was simply saying that in order for this to save 6 skill points you would have to use enigma and decided not to put any points in telekinesis
Realisically this saves 4 skill points on an es sorc, never heard of an es sorc who didnt max telekinesis anyways
