Only downside to life on level is it isn't affected by oak sage, so it turns out less life than a 25lifer @ 99.
Depending on graphic, price and color I may want it for a style points pelt or MLD if it fits the category.

Red antlers im level 89 and pelt give 44life

However that life isn't affected by Oak - which rounds out to less than a +25 life base @ lvl 99. Hence that part of the post. I've tried it already.
