I am about to send my current phone to be repaired and im gonna use a second phone I have somewhere in my house as a substitute

when I will log in steam on this new phone, it will most likely ask for steam guard code, which can be only seen if im logged in steam, and I remember having this issue last time I changed my phone cause how am I able to see steam guard code if im not logged in?

It's been a few years since I swapped phones but if I remember correctly there was a bit of a process to set up the new Steam Guard (switched from Android to Apple). I didn't plan ahead so I had to jump through a few hoops but it wasn't too bad. I believe I was able to just verify that it was actually me and swap it over within like 5-10 minutes.

Not a comprehensive answer but hopefully gives some insight.
