Was wondering how frequently hrs drop for you guys while hosting p8 chaos runs? Been thinking about doing this just wondering how profitable it is. Thx in advance

They're very rare. I played daily last ladder and only found about 8 HRs total. Of course your mileage may vary but most of your runs will be no high runes. You'll earn more money from leechers than selling high runes.

If you charge for runs you can say you get to claim the drops as well.

You can make any rule you want.
It's your run, whether people join due to the rules is the issue.
I don't think people care too much and just want exp.

Good luck.

Just a rough estimate that might help: Talking about a Ber Rune, the chance to see one drop from a knight or a pit lord is close to 1:400,000 and is about 1:100,000 from a wraith (assuming a full party).
Let's assume we have an average Ber rune drop chance of 1:200,000 from a regular monster. Now how many monsters are there in the CS? Around 300 maybe?

So it would approximately take 200,000/300 = 666 runs (what a coincidence!) to find one (again, on average).
Drop chances for champions and super uniques don't differ by a lot and won't have a significant impact on the numbers.

Now there's not just Ber. Taking into account any rune starting from Vex I would say the avg amount of runs per HR goes down to something in the range of maybe 150 to 250 (I didn't do the exact math though).
If you take 3-5 minutes to clear the CS completely and play a lot, you could expect to find one HR every 1-2 days.

Blizzard updated the overall rune drop rates twice since I started playing back in 2001. Once in patch 1.13 way back in 2009 and once in 1.13c way back in 2010. The only other thing they did was make it so any Super Unique monsters have an increased chance to drop any rune in hell mode. There used to be an official drop table, but it's been lost to the sands of time. I would use Silopens, it's been updated to D2R. The 1.12 Drop rates are accurate and so are the 1.13, 1.14, and D2R rates.

I wouldn't use any other drop calcs because who needs facts when you can create your own fictional drop tables.

Also, I know what they are, but I wonder if nobody here can still tell me the real minimum requirements to run D2: LoD...

Better off charging per runs for leechers then hoping for a hr drop always gonna be someone that will bum rush to grab it before you and not follow the rules of your game that's a gimme.

It's crazy when you put the actually numbers down to read.
