Just curious how JSP updates posts. I see posts that are at the top of the page (that were updated several minutes ago) while other posts with similar services that have more active replies (seconds ago) are at the bottom of the page with less visibility. How does JSP prioritize posts with similar services?

Thanks!

A thread with the most recent reply will go to the top of the page.

JSP doesn’t prioritise post that have more activity (or trending if you’d call it that)

I like that term trending. So, I saw a post that had a reply 2 (seconds ago) for a topic that was at the bottom of the page, while an older topic for the same service was at the top of the page with the last reply being 4 minutes ago. Not sure how the second topic was at the top of the page while the most recently replied or (bumped) topic was left at the bottom of the page. Just trying to understand the mechanics of bumping on JSP :)

Is this something you see often? Or does this happen in a specific sub forum?

I've never seen that happen before, nor is there a filter option that would cause this

You could have misread seconds as minutes when looking at both the threads perhaps

Edit:

It seems when you filter using the buttons at the top of the page (FT/ISO/Service/Pricecheck etc), they appear out of order. Not sure if this is a mistake or not!

the tabs only show threads that were just bumped.

The All section is topics with most recent activity even if the topic was improperly bumped, from what I remember improperly bumping your topics wont move them up in the list on the ft iso section. So they will be out of order in the ft iso etc tabs

Were you looking through a search? In search, topics do not get bumped and are listed from the newest to the oldest.

This is correct.

FT, ISO & Service tab do not show the most recently bumped topic, but the most recently legitly bumped topic at the topic.
