Probably getting $1 for having things delivered later on your chosen "Amazon delivery day" of the week. Saves them trips so they give digital balance incentives to not rush them. It's just a rebate discount on your order that's only usable at Amazon so it's not technically free.

So, a quick Google search and going through my own Amazon account I found this:

"You get one point for every penny you earn in % back rewards. Every 100 points = 1$ when you redeemed at Amazon.com towards eligible purchases. You can use your points for eligible purchases at Amazon.com or redeem your points through Chase for cash back/gift cards"

It’s just a promotional gimmick for you to apply for the Amazon credit card.

If you do have the credit card though like above posted that’s how the rewards work.

Basically every-time you buy something it says ‘you can save x amount if you apply and use the Amazon credit card.’

I don’t think it actually gives you points for shopping (unless of course you are using the credit card).

Just their version of ‘cash back’

Hope that helps.

It's basically a rebate,

i.e: if you spend $100 you get $1 back which means you spend $1 on your next purchase or in some cases you get to use that $1 discount immediately.
