I edited my d2r post to add a new item that I found to my big list of things to sell, and my trade post got closed because I bumped too early I guess? Do I need to wait for the bump timer just to edit something in my post?

I'm pretty new to using d2jsp regularly so any help understanding this rule would be appreciated. I don't want to have to make a new topic again for my trade list.

TIA

Your post #3, 4, 9 & 11 are all considered spam/early bump.

You do not need to reply to everyone who either bins or offers something in your topic.

If someone bins and item you can PM them to do the trade and you do not need to say t4t in the topic.

Hi Shrek,

In layman’s terms, an early bump is when you have two (or more) consecutive posts within a 4 hour period, it doesn’t matter what your context is be it “bump, “t4t” or “pm’d”.

Summarize what you want to say in one reply and only reply or bump every 4 hours or more from your last post then you’ll be perfectly fine!

You can reply all day long so long as long as it's not a back-to-back post and it's legitimate in nature.

Early Bump:

Posting 2 back-to-back posts in one thread before 4 hours.
Creating several threads to bypass the early bump rule.

It's really up to the discretion and interpretation of the staff member even if some of them have questionable reading comprehension skills.

There's also spam though, you can't have your friends early bump your topic and then reply to them.

Personally, I love to multi-quote whenever possible, but it's not a rule.

In fact, it decreases ones sales if they have a lot of items.

It's not a rule for sure, but it sure is a solution to posting back-to-back.

If you have a thread up and had sold multiple items in the past hour or so then you may simply quote and reply to other trader's recent offers or BINs in one reply instead of quoting all of them one by one which would usually ensure you a topic closure for early bump unless you were only posting replies once every 4 hours.

Also as you've mentioned, if users are posting non-trade related content or using a friend or even a foe to bypass the 4 hour bump rule then that would be considered spam.
