Surprisingly defending myself got me a suspension, instead of the perpetrator who have harassed me by calling me a "you fucking slow retard piece of shit" via PM.

If the user starts harassing you in topics, either report and move on or reach out to the moderator looking after respective forum area.

So judging by how he's literally active and posting as of a minute ago, no action was taken even after a review by a moderator.

I'm guessing anything said via PM is not against any jsp policies set?

Private messages cannot be moderated, as moderators do not have access to your PM box.

Also replying to spam is also considered spam, so if the guy ever harasses you in public - do not reply. You won't get suspended.

Like above said, if it goes further than PMs then you may request a senior moderator to take action via Pm.

You will not know if action is taken against them though.

Correct, most violations via PM are not moderated or enforced. There are exceptions however such as scamming, selling fg vs money, and other unlawful activities.

Simple flame and BM behavior are not enforced as you can simply block the user.

I will chip in as well - the best response is no responce. simply block the user from being able to contact you via pm. it works most of the time and i have first hand experience haha.
