to make a long story short whenever i join someone elses game doesnt matter when or whos game i get the bullshit glitching in place teleport glitch on my sorc. HOWEVER if im running solo i can zip around the map with absolutely no issues. i had the same issues with path of exile as well. because of the fact i live on what used to be a cornfield many many years ago, the isp's here are limited. with that being said i decided to go with tmobiles home internet (which is absolutely incredible 50 bucks a month unlimited no data caps and its literally a bluetooth speaker looking box i can plug anywhere i want in the house and it runs off cell towers). im getting about 200mg down max (which again is incredible for the rural country areas never though id live to see the day really) but heres the issues i have with tmobile.

1. doesnt support port forwarding
2. doesnt have firewall on modem frameware
3. nat is suck to strict

called tmobile they pretyt much said fuck you buy a 3rd party router...

so the major question here is IF and thats a BIG if i decide to go with a third party router.... would this solve some of the lag issues or would i be pissing away time and money?

Third party routers are amazing because the one from your ISP are mediocre at best and very barebones.

NAT, Port forwarding, etc. are solely the operating case of the router, so your ISP doesn't even matter. This would not be the case with for example Dual Stack, which your ISP has to provide to you.

So yes, buy a great router and use it !

Wish WiFi 7 was out already, but for now, we have to make do with WiFi 6(E).
