I have buy 60hz monitor will you please tell me in detail In frames per second, a monitor's frame rate is expressed. The amount of frames that a video card can create and broadcast to a monitor in a second is measured in frames per second.

Hi Aleena,

To answer your question, no a 60hz monitor cannot perform at 120fps. Reason being is that a 60hz monitor refreshes 60 times per second, a 120hz monitor will be able to get you your 120fps as the monitor will be able to refresh 120 frames per second.

Even if you have a beast gfx card, a 60fps monitor will be bottlenecked and only be able to max out at 60fps. In which case a hardware upgrade is needed.

Hope this helps.
