Can anyone tell me why this GFG item pic won't post? Read numerous topics before posting:




I have even had users grab my code, say they are posting the same thing and it works. HELP.

Unsure where you copied that url from, not overly familiar with Imgur enough to know exactly what that link was copied as.

But you want the direct link.

Right Click the Image and open in New Tab


Copy the link in the URL Bar:


Which gives you this link:

A bit off topic but you can click the button that looks like <> to get the "code" bbcode which just shows the plain text so you don't need to modify it at all. As such:

It's an imgur-specific problem. For some reason they make URLs which end on ".png" or other file extensions but don't actually lead to the file. Anyone (incl. me) who's used to scan the URL for the file extension and expects the URL to lead to an image is screwed. Imgur always start the real file URLs with "i.imgur.com".

Yeah I get what you mean, seems like .png is the site's preference and always had been.
