I've been following that subforum and I see that criminals are blocked from accessing d2jsp.
My question is: what else happens to them? Would it be possible to call the police or something?
Internet fraud can get you in jail, as far as I know in any country

Such matters drag on in the orchard for years and it depends on the country. Firstly because in today's age of freely available Vpn. This is hard to prove. Yes, you can file a private case with the police and in court. D2jsp does not refund cheats and is not responsible for cheaters.

I am no expert in legal, but I believe each country has its own penal codes.
If you feel like going after a scammer that robbed you, you might consider prosecuting him with help of your local authorities.

what do you think actually happens when police are involved?
99% of the time, nothing is actually done or enforced.

law enforcement has better things to do than to resolve nerd disputes on a random gaming forum

What the person above said. Police, of any country, have far better things to do with their time than deal with internet fraud for irrelevant online shit. No impactful crime has occurred when you get scammed online. Much more important things going on in the world that the police have to deal with. D2jsp is a tiny forum that is used by a tiny minority of people. You do the math.

Police will not get involved because there is actually no theft involved. All forum gold is owned by d2jsp so technically nothing is lost or gained. The website simply retains the circulated fg that is their property.

Now if there is a admission to a crime, such as murder, the police will get involved as this is evidence that can be used in a court case, which has happened before here.

Hope this insight helps.

I believe this question has been raised before in the past and I would put d2jsp in-comparisson to an online game, online game item & currency scams are usually dealt with by the game's admins and community managers as we have users from all around the world and each country has their own policy and laws against cyber crimes,
Korea for an example has legislations against malicious online game account and item scams but a lot of other countries do not have laws for it, therefore it'll be extremely difficult to raise a case with foreign authorities unless it also involves other cyber crimes such as usage of fradulent and stolen credit cards or other criminal offenses such as drug sales and money laundering.

We have a whole department dedicated to resolving scams and assiting vicitms of scam in recovering their stolen items/fg as you'd probably know: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=250
