Hi all, I can't seem to get embedded pics to work. I have 20 posts so it should work?

you must always use a direct link. And the link from imgur must end with .jpg, .pgn or .gif

you need to do the direct image link
right click the image and open image location

Use that link ending in .jpeg .gif etc

Right - thank you I have finally got it.

The guide does not accord with what I see on Imgur, it may need updating as there does not appear to be a 'get share links' option any more?

It would be great if the guide just said upload the image, then right click on the image and choose copy image address noting the direct link will be different to the main imgur URL (i.e. starting with i.imgur.com not imgur.com), then put that within the IMG codes in the forum post.

If I'm correct, I'd be happy to draft an updated guide that'd be clearer for noobs like me

Hi adhunt,

you may use any image hosting service as long as you make sure that the url you are using ends in an image extension (i.e: .jpg, .gif, .bnp etc...)

for example:

[img]http://imagehostingsite.com/picture.jpg[/img]

Some of the more popular choices are http://www.imgur.com and http://www.imgbb.co, just make sure you're copying a direct link from those sites.
