Only works on non socketed items.

No because larzuk only works on non socketed items as well.

The cube recipe only adds 1 socket to a rare item that currently has no sockets.
Larzuk adds sockets to unsocketed items but the max sockets possible for the white items Ilvl, 1 socket to rare items, and either 1 or 2 to a magic item if it can have 2 sockets.

rares can only get 1 socket unless THEY SPAWN with 2 sockets.

this recipe is only meant to be used on classic or in single player when you already used all your socket quests.
