hey ho,
% damage taken goes to mana, means (with 50% dtgm):

1. if i receive hit of 100 dmg to life i will just get 50 mana

2. or i recevie hit of 100 dmg i will lost 50 life and get 50 mana

This can generate extra Mana as a result of being attacked. It does not reduce the amount of damage to Life but instead just adds to Mana.

if you receive 100 damage you get 50 mana
