Just curious what the proper etiquette is on refunds on items if the buyer sent FG after inspecting item in trade window and realized after fg was sent and trade was complete that this items level req. was too high?

I honored the return of their FG for my item back, but would I have been justified if I had said sales are final?
What is the typical procedure for JSP?

If the buyer has seen the item before and agrees with the description in your topic. It is only up to you whether you will accept the return. This is seen as good manners and ethical trade. However, if the item did not match the description in topic, it is treated as a cheat.

What item was it? Was the lvl req unusually high? Like craft ring with lvl96?

You're not obligated to refund or trade back unless you have advertised the item you've sold wrongly. If you're selling an eth cv infinity in your topic and it turns out the buyer noticed it's not a cv but a voulge for example, you're not out of the situation by saying the buyer could have checked ingame before sending the fg.

If you do so and there is a scammer accusation posted against you, you will be requested to trade back under the original circumstances if the mistake happened on your end.

Thanks for responses. It was a Sc with level 40 requirement, buyer thought it was level 30 req. but that was never discussed/asked. The stats on the charm were as I noted. It is not a big deal to me and I refunded without hesitation as it was an honest mistake on their part, it just raised the question to me of what the proper etiquette was in most circumstances.

In that case the buyer is required to make sure and ask if he wants a specific low level requirement. You did nothing wrong there but you've definitely shown good manners by trading back after he noticed :)
