Hi all

I have ben getting flamed all my life due to my bad literacy.
I have noticed here on jsp you can report for flaming. But not a single person gets a warning ! Odd that there is even that option ! Not that I ever abused it other than sever cases. I do see D2jsp has like 500% more flaming than all my other forums I post on.

So is it like most mods are not copasetic to online bullying and there for don't warn/mark them without 10 offences ?

I seriously thought about creating another acct just to ditch all the flaimers.. thankfully after time they stopped following/herasing me.

My question/point being what will it take to prevent ppl here from treating other ppl(what they be leave to be vulnerable) bad ?

Are predators in life really this pathetic ?

Report the flame and move on. Do not react or reply to it other than reporting and moving on.
A lot of other moderative measures can be taken that are not visible to the masses.

a lot of the work to prevent this and work against this won't be public.
just because you dont see a user getting warn percentages it does not mean that there are no actions taken :)
mods on jsp volunteer and do this in their free time, so try to be understanding of that

Very true.
But Like I sead I had serton ppl following me and hearasing me across multipool forum platforms and they never stopped or got warned. Not trying to say the system doesn't work now but a few years ago it defiantly did not.. And I could be mistaking as there might not have ben the option to report flaming back then.

if its the same users doing this your best bet is to collect evidence of it and send it to the appropriate staff group, in trading grounds you would forward this to a trade moderator to take care of it :)
in general report the posts that are against forum rules and move on, there is nothing else you can personally do

Just because you don't see action taken does not mean there wasn't any. As stated, your best option is too report them and ignore them. Do not reply at all. The mods review each report and it takes time.

not sure the volunteer is 100% accurate :P
I've seen a TON of wanna be mods pretty much take this is hardcore as a real job and then once they earn mod status, way less stuff is done by them, quite comical tbh
But yes, in the long run this is just a volunteering thing.

As others have said, just ignore it man. An unfortunate reality on any English speaking forums is that misspelling words as you frequently do, is going to result in flaming. This is true for pretty much everywhere.

Report and ignore is your best bet for Jsp. If one user in particular is harassing you endlessly, then you can catalog and send it to a moderator directly (as outlined), but again you may not see any actual action. Many times action starts with a warning from the staff, which isn’t done publicly.

Alternatively and I know this may not be realistic, but you could work on your language skills. Even if it takes time, simply double-checking words you’re unsure about, or using the spell check function, can make a huge difference. There’s also websites and tools that will check grammar overall, which may be more helpful for someone who uses the wrong words. If you browse on PC you could also use a post blocker to block all posts from users who harass you frequently.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to do

This unfortunately appears to be the MO. People will do anything to get a shiny tag next to their name, then lose all interest once it’s achieved. This isn’t the same for all of them of course, there are exceptions to the rule, but mods are of course as biased, and broken as the rest of us, so there’s that too.

Maybe, just maybe... there are guidelines or checks and balances, that prevent over zealous staff members from railing members for bias.
