Just bought a
WD Black 500gb D30 Game Drive SSD
and it seems to be unable to format to the xbox one, and when I try to set it as a capture device it says
"To capture game clips and screenshots externally, storage must be USB 3.0 or faster. This device is too slow."

I wanna double check that this is definitely the wrong device and the guys at microcenter were dumb for setting me
up with this before I return it and look like an idiot.

If it can work for D2R on xbox one and I can set it up and you can help me even better. Will tip higher

Paying 5fg for best advice.

EDIT: Another problem is everywhere I look online it says it's perfectly compatible

Was the usb-cable included? If not, make sure that your cable actually supports USB 3.0.

They're typically blue like this if they indeed are compatible.



I'd also just make sure to try the different outputs on your Xbox, just to make sure thats not the issue
