Yup, so what you can do if you really want to use this particular email Is change the email on this account, once done you can use the recovery form with that same email to attempt to recover your old account. 2 step process here.
Also, you aren’t able to get rid of an account, the rule does state one account per person, extra accounts created will not be deleted so just let it be inactive. You can have as many email addresses as you like.
