To better understand your situation, you were trying to sell a bnet balance for fg to purchase a 40/15 jewel in D2r?

This can be done through the Battle.net forum. Only ISO posts are allowed, so you will have to comment on someone's ISO post in the currency you use on bnet.

Please read the sticky "Trade Rules - Instant/redeem Codes Not Allowed!" at the top.

Literally says “ I know it’s legal to use bnet balance to get fg on site” simple sentence…… “I messed up and put i need fg for 15/40 jewel do you need balance” I put that simple question in the BATTLE NET APP.. my next question was how f’d am I will I get banned

Idk how that was hard to understand

I can speak to d2jsp’s policies better than Battle.net’s.

You asked a friend if they needed some bnet balance because you need forum gold. Yes this trade should take place on d2jsp, they should make a topic that they’re iso bnet balance and then you can offer your rate of fg. This way there is a paper trail for the trade, and you can request a mediator if need be.

Your other worry was will you get banned from b.net for mentioning d2jsp and fg, and while I don’t know their policy, I would doubt it since it sounds like you were talking in private messages with another user.

I hope this helps

I'm not sure what Bnet has setup but like said, you should keep your trades involving forum gold isolated to trade topics within d2jsp, and then confirm trade details via PM. And as always, requesting a mediator is the safest trading practice and covers both the seller and the buyer.

I’m sure if you hit a filter it would have affected your account immediately, but like I said I don’t know for sure.

Blizzard does have access to your PM chatlogs.

But it also has access to your chatlogs IN-GAME. I clearly remember many years ago one user requested in-game chatlogs (can't remember why) and blizzard gave him these chatlogs.

That means that every time you do a JSP trade and write your JSP name and forum gold amount in in-game chat, blizzard can see that.

Even if you decide write just the amount without writing 'fg' after it, the other guy you are trading with will likely still write 'fg' on his side. So clearly if blizzard wanted they could ban a bunch of users for using JSP. But they don't.

Bottom line is that writing 'fg' in PM blizzard chatlog is not any different from writing it in-game. And we already know that they don't care to ban users who type 'fg' in in-game chat.
