It's not possible to favorite or lock items to prevent them from being accidentally shrined or trashed.
Since you can now open the vault on mobile without exiting the catacombs, I suggest not keeping any items in your inventory that you want to keep or sell. Instead, move them to the vault as soon as possible.
Unlike playing on the PC, I would also recommend only moving the gear for the next levels into your inventory once you’ve actually reached the level to use it.
The only thing to watch out for is accidental double taps that could cause you to swap an item with one you're currently equipped with, potentially causing you to shrine or trash the wrong one.
Oh sweet, didn't even see the vault thing. Ive had some close calls so I'll definitely be doing that. The doubleclick is terrifying, I need a sight hole through my thumb so I can see my item lol
