This is the second time it's happened after having this pc for 4 years, last time was around 2 years ago.

Everything is fine and suddenly the visuals all freeze, but anything running still runs. I was playing runescape and watching Netflix, movie was still playing. But it just stays frozen. If I click my mouse 3 times, the pc makes 5 loud beeps. Happens every time I click 3 times. Never unfreezes, have to manually shut down.


Not going to go into any details of what all my pc specs are and stuff, just want to know if this ever happens to anyone else. It never did on any other pc or laptop I've owned.

yes it does with d2r and Discord. after many hours running. it is always discord that does it for me.
my pc is very stable. only time this freeze happens is with discord plus d2r or league of legends after many hours running.

For me these are the only times it has ever froze. I don't remember what I was doing last time, but this time I was playing Manarion and was trying to switch back to Netflix and that's when it froze.

It's pretty weird.

I had this issue with D2R as well. If you disable HAGS it should fix it. That is what worked for me anyway.

Uh... I'm not playing d2r. Unless HAGS is something outside of that. But again, it's only happened twice in 4 years. It's just a weird kind of freezing. Usually when computers freeze, everything does. Not just visuals and not with that weird beeping sound when trying to click.

Go to Settings → System → Display → Graphics Settings.
From there, set "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling(HAGS)" to OFF, then reboot your computer.

4 years in pc world is approaching geriatric

seeing the occasional performance issue is not unusual

when in doubt reboot

you did the right thing


might help to pop open task mgr to see if a process is eating up your cpu

So it has to do with Manarion. Every time I switch away from the tab to something else it has the chance to fuck something up. One time earlier today it made both my monitors flash black for a second. Just a minute ago, it cause Chrome to stop responding, had to force close. Weird thing was, Netflix was still running both audio and video this time, but wouldn't recover on it's own.

Even checked my PC vitals and everything was fine. It's not using up much of anything CPU or GPU wise, but the game is for some reason causing issues. Seems kinda sketchy. I was playing Iqrpg which is basically the same game and never had issues with that.

open event viewer > windows logs > system and filter by critical, should give you some insight
