Am I able to change the login portion of my battle net account with a new email?

Has anyone ever done this before?

I don’t want to mess with it and somehow lock myself out of my account.

Yes you can change the e-mail and it will not lock you out. It will just have you verify with the old e-mail that you want to change it, and verify the new e-mail address after that is done.

If the account is already registered to an email yes you can change the email after doing a password recovery, if it's not registered then no I don't think you can

No, you cannot change the login portion of your account.

If you change your associated email, the login email stays the same.

This new email will be used for password resets, etc?

Yeah. It's just like with any other kind of account. No matter what you can never change the login email without having to make a brand new account, but the email that receives the messages and whatnot can be changed.

If fact it's safer to have your login email different than your associated email because if someone learns your login email and tries to hack your email to get into your bnet account, it won't work as that email isn't attached to your bnet account anymore.

This is wrong. I changed my email on my account and the login email is the new email. Literally just did it the other day.

I have never once seen that happen, but I guess I'll take your word for it.
