I've seen this alot of times. I kinda defeats the purpose of the "Violation" box, that the users original comment still appears below.


Is this standard operating procedures? Or just implemented poorly?

Congrats on your 10000th post! This blue text indicates that a report a user has submitted has led to actions being taken against the author of the post. Then you will sometimes encounter threads which have posts hidden saying "Inappropriate post content". Very often this is for the most serious, potentially harmful violations which cannot remain openly visible.

Haha thanks a lot! Worked hard for it ❤️

The above example is a user, using another users trade post to underbid with his own topic.
This, in my opinion, should be deleted. Even if the user does get a slap on the wrist, the buyers/clients will still be directed towards the illicit topic the user posted.

I might just be picking straws, but it seems off.

I know what you mean, there may be cases where the blue text has the effect of a "neon sign", but our general policies to keep censorship at a minimum and to show the users that we took their reports seriously outweigh that imo.
