we need a way to close your thread after 1 week or something.

I could see that there are reasons to not close threads as it could probably be abused in some way but

There is no reason a thread should still be open 3 weeks past when the creator can edit the original post

I have been getting harassed for 3 weeks and this is not the only thread.

You can PM a trade mod to close the topic for you if it comes to this point. Otherwise, with how many topics are created in that section, 95% of the time it will simply fade away.

Topics will not be closed unless they violate site rules.

If you post a topic, the trade is completed and it's past the edit window, you can simply post "trade complete" etc and users will no longer PM you or post after that.

Users are probably PMing you and posting due to they believe the topic is still open and items are ft.
