Can mediators hold fg for 7 days for a mediation between seller and buyer?

Usually the fg is sent once both parties confirm the trade occurred.
Maybe the other party didn’t do the confirmation?

They hold the fg for as long as the trade takes.

No the thing is we are trading cs items. They are locked for a 7 day period. We need to wait the 7 day period.

Question is if mediator wanna wait the 7 day window or only helps with instant trades?

They will more than likely not do any mediation until the item is unlocked and ready to trade.
You only hit the request a mediator when you’re ready to trade

While we strongly encourage our users to use mediators (especially for but not limited to high value trades), the trade that is mediated should be able to happen right away.

As a result you should request for a mediator when the item is no longer trade locked but instead ready to be traded immediately & the two of you are available to trade.
