On the base of private messages?

I've had this private conversation over something very silly and, while I knew from the start where that was going, I got insulted for no real reason and that kinda bothered me. Nothing too harsh, I was being a little sarcastic myself, but the person in question is an obvious troublemaker and I'm sure he did this time and time again, probably unnoticed in the safety of private messages.

I can provide screenshots and context if necessary.

No, private messages are not moderated by the staff, they are moderated by the user, unless it is something extremely egregious.
What I mean by this is, if you get messages from someone that you do not like, are flaming, or is a person you otherwise wish not to communicate with
then you would add them to your PM block list and move on.

inboxes are not monitored by the staff. You can block the user to avoid issues. If it carries over to the forums you should contact the appropriate staff member.

I blocked the person (almost) instantly and he still felt like throwing a little something something back at me in his post, yet nothing worth mentioning.
