hello brothers. im sleepy af, so im putting this here and going off. anyways the problem is this: i need to pack some very expensive bottles for a time, and i have to put them in a basement where flooding is possible. my idea was to put them in airtight bags before packing them in boxes

where can i find such bags. do those even exist  ?

Quick google search and both Amazon & Home Depot have those airtight bags you can use a small vacuum to suck out the air.

Most are used for clothing and some for food etc, you just have to read the description.

Bottles of wine or ?

If you don't want to vacuum pack, you could always just put the bottle in a vacuum pack bag and seal it without sucking the air out

spirits only! no wine, wine ages after the bottling as well and i dont like that  i also dont really like wine in general

edit: and yes, i prefer not making a vacuum at all, i just want something thats airtight in case of a flood

arent the bottles themselves airtight?

this seems kinda redundant.

if you are a collector its far from redundant ^_^ if you have a stash of bottles the cheapest of which is 200~300$, you dont want a flood destroying their appearance. if its a 3$ bottle of rachmaninoff vodka from lidl i ofc wouldnt care, but this is different
