Can anything be done about the moderators there, or will they just continue to close everything they disagree with? They are killing GC. They close threads for "off-topic" posts. OF COURSE THEY'RE OFF-TOPIC, ITS GENERAL CHAT. Can't even have a thread with people conversing without some genius closing the threads.

Also idk why people can't understand that comments have to be on topic to the thread they're posted in, just like in any other sub forum.

General, as in no one specific topic. That's why you can talk about almost anything in there, but the comments to each thread still need to be on topic.
