There is the possibility to receive push notifications (for PM's and much more), both on mobile and on PC.

You can find the corresponding information here and an easy step-by-step guide on how to set it up on iOS for mobile right here.

I personally find them convenient to use and have it activated both on my iPhone and my PC. With the pop-up notification you're also receiving an audible notification, depending on how you have your phone and/ or PC set up.

i have it on already, for it i need to keep site open, its not convenient in some cases

email notifications about important events like PMs or answers to subscribed/started topics must be added, every site have it, i am shocked such old site as d2jsp did not impletent those

If you turn push notifications on for your phone, then you'll always know when someone reply's to you.
