One of the things you can try is check the Microsoft Edge settings and see if the option to clear password is enabled.
Open Microsoft Edge.
Click on Ellipsis (…) and select Settings.
Click on Privacy and services.
Under Clear browsing data, click on Choose what to clear every time you close the browser.
Toggle the switch for Passwords.
Restart Microsoft Edge and check.
Appreciate this, should have also added its a clean install.
I did however discover the answer.
The answer was I’m an idiot and forgot the pw set in my phone is actually incorrect.
